A Piece of History: Recycled Antique Wagon at PVML

Updated: Oct 10

Two very heavy antique wagon wheels used to sit in an overgrown garden out in the field. This weekend, Bruce and I recycled them. We rolled the antique wheels to a new location and "planted" them, along with what I assume is the wagon frame. (I have not been able to locate the other two wagon wheels.)

You might wonder why we "planted" these very heavy, very old metal structures. How can you recycle an antique wagon?

My plan is to repurpose them to grow a beautiful vine. I will be planting a Trumpet Creeper, which will hopefully grow over our "new" Wagon Trellis.

It is finds like these that are one of the things that make Pleasant Valley Maple Lodge such an interesting place!

What a beautiful place to stay, not just in Pleasant Valley with its four season delights, but at PVML I give it 6 stars out of 5!
